The Bancroft School

When the Bancroft School wanted to raise funds for technological advances they turned to cMarket, and to our own web technologies for a competitive edge.

The Bancroft School located in Worcester, MA is a progressive institution for students - offering programs from the kindergarten level to the 12th grade. They provide a diverse and supportive learning environment that includes a creative and challenging college-preparatory curriculum. In order to continue to offer their elite educational services, the school ran an online auction with cMarket to generate revenue for new and cutting-edge resources.

The school ran a "Reach for the Stars" fundraiser that included both an online and live auction. They were able to place their catalog on the web prior to their in-room event, giving constituents a chance to preview the items that were going to be available for bidding. In addition to this sneak peak, the Bancroft School also opened several items up for online bidding. They offered over 100 items in their cMarket catalog that participants could bid on, including tickets to a Patriots football game that raised $1,322 for the school. Bancroft gave students a chance to bid on an SAT prep-course that earned $460 from online bidding, and a sought after Nintendo Wii game system that generated $330 from their auction efforts.

The "Reach for the Stars" fundraiser was a great success for the Bancroft School. By running a cMarket online auction in conjunction with their live auction event, the school was able to enhance their development programs and raise the revenue they needed for improved technologies and professional development.
