Senator William Bradley

Managing Director Allen & Company LLC

From 2001 until 2004, Mr. Bradley acted as chief outside advisor to McKinsey & Company's nonprofit practice with a particular interest in the use of technology to achieve efficiency in fundraising. In 2000, Mr. Bradley was a candidate for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. Mr. Bradley served in the U.S. Senate from 1979 until 1997 representing the State of New Jersey. Prior to serving in the U.S. Senate, Mr. Bradley was an Olympic gold medalist in 1964, and from 1967 through 1977 he played professional basketball for the New York Knicks, during which time they won two world championships. Mr. Bradley also serves on the board of directors of Meetup.com, Willis Group Holdings Limited, Seagate Technology and Starbucks Corporation.

Anne Bryant

Executive Director National School Boards Association

Anne has a long history in the nonprofit sector. She currently runs the 130-person National School Boards Association which has over 95,000 local school board members. She is a national expert on education reform and has frequently testified before Congress on educational policy. Prior to joining NSBA, she was the executive director of the Association of University Women. Anne also serves as the chair of the Board of Trustees for Simmons College and is an advisory commissioner to the Education Commission of the States.

Carol Cone

Carol Cone is nationally recognized for her work in the Cause Branding® and strategic philanthropy arenas. As the Chairman of Cone, Inc., she has embraced a steadfast commitment to building substantive and sustainable partnerships between companies and social issues for more than 25 years.

Cone has pioneered vibrant new alliances for private/public partnerships to create signature programs for a host of Fortune 500 companies, including the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, ConAgra Foods' Feeding Children Better, PNC Grow Up Great, the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women program, Reebok's Human Rights Awards, Rockport's Fitness Walking, and the Gillette Prostate Cancer Challenge, among others. Overall, Cone's signature cause programs have raised more than $750 million for various social causes. Today, Cone, Inc. is acknowledged as the nation's leading Cause Branding consultancy.

Stephen Delfin

Executive Director National Credit Union Foundation

Steve has a long career working with, and for, nonprofit organizations. His career includes executive positions at the National Association for Home Care, the American Red Cross National Headquarters, Booz Allen, and United Way of America. He currently serves as chairman of the Board of Trustees of ePhilanthropy as well as on the boards of America's Charities and Net-Impact.

Theresa Ellis

Executive Director Harbinger Partners

Theresa is the founder of Harbinger Partners, whose expertise is to create an opportunity for nonprofit and for-profit corporations to work together in a mutually-beneficial partnership around technology. Specifically, Harbinger Partners helps nonprofit organizations use technology strategically while expanding the reach of corporate philanthropy.

Professor Deepak Malhotra

Associate Professor Harvard Business School

Professor Deepak Malhotra teaches negotiation courses in the MBA program and in a wide variety of executive programs including the Advanced Management Program (AMP), the Owner/President Management Program (OPM), Changing the Game, Strategic Negotiation, and Families in Business.

Deepak has done extensive research on charity auctions and trust development with focus on behavioral aspects of decision making in a competitive environment. He is especially interested in how to create escalation of commitment, competitive arousal, and auction fever in an auction environment. He has been published in top journals in the fields of management, psychology, and conflict resolution. Deepak has also won numerous awards for both his teaching and his research. He is currently writing a book on Negotiation, to be published by Bantam Books in 2007.

Deepak's professional activities include training and consulting on the topics of Negotiation, Leadership, Strategic Decision-Making, and Trust Development with firms in a multitude of industries, including nonprofits, education, healthcare, information technology, media, newspapers, and telecommunications.

Miriam May

Executive Director Massachusetts Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Miriam May is the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Her extensive work with donors, volunteers, grantees and partners affords the organization increased resources dedicated to the mission, as well as awareness of the disease. Her efforts have resulted in more revenue for the Massachusetts Affiliate, and a partnership with grantees and fellow institutions.

Ms. May has in-depth experience in consulting and marketing management within the nonprofit and the private sectors. As the founder of SMART Consulting her clients included Oxfam America, Hadassah, United Jewish Communities, JESNA, Lifespan, Planned Parenthood of RI, United Way of America, JSkyway, Fleet Bank, American Express, Citizen’s Bank and smaller institutions.

Prior to her current position, Ms. May was Senior Vice President of United Way of Southeastern New England, and served as a Vice President at Citibank directing many new marketing initiatives. She was also a Principal Consultant with Charter Associates, a World Bank consultant to the Ministry of Labor of Brazil, and an Area Advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean for the US Department of Labor.

Ms. May has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Labor Relations and Organizational Development from Cornell University. She has served on a variety of local and national not-for-profit boards. She is married to Professor Shaye J.D. Cohen and they have four children.

Brian Rosborough

Founder Earthwatch Institute

Brian has a long history serving the nonprofit sector. In 1972 he founded the Earthwatch Institute which became one of the leading scientific and environmental organizations around the world by matching donors with expeditions in scientific and environmental discovery. He has also served as a special envoy to the United Nations, as well as serving on a wide variety of boards including Princeton University, the Fullbright Institute, Mt Holyoke College, the Rocky Mountain Institute, and numerous others.
