Mariposa Villa # 1 is located in a tranquil setting away from the noisy center of town, yet still a fast and easy access to all the amenities Tamarindo has to offer. There are a total of 10 similar villas in this gated development which offers 24 hour security and a pool in the middle for use by all guests.

Our villa is 1000 square feet (92.9 square meters) with high ceilings. It is fully furnished and sleeps up to 6 with two bedrooms and a pullout couch in the living room. Plus there are two full bathrooms.

We have cable TV, wireless internet and an air conditioner in each room. We also have a full kitchen with brand new appliances as well as a new washer/dryer.

If you have not yet been to Tamarindo the area is bustling with nightlife and some of Tamarindo’s best restaurants are just a short walk from our house. The beach and surf are a short walk as well.

Across the street is a bike and surfboard rental place. We usually rent bikes when we are there and have never found a need to have a car, yet if you choose to have one there is plenty of parking.

Tamarindo Rivermouth is one of the best surf spots around. The rest of the beach is perfect for beginners.

Take a short walk across the Rivermouth and Playa Grande, a long white-sand beach-break with spitting barrels awaits you. Surf schools, horseback riding, kayaking, canapé tours can all be found in town.
