Quarterback Doug Flutie first rose to prominence during his career at Boston College, where he received the prestigious Heisman Trophy and the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award in 1984. His "Hail Mary" touchdown pass in a game against Miami on November 23, 1984 is considered among the greatest moments in college football and American sports history
Doug Flutie's NFL career began in 1986 when he signed with the Los Angeles Rams and was then traded to the Chicago Bears. Interspersed with stints in the United States Football League and the Canadian Football League, Flutie also has played for the Buffalo Bills, the San Diego Chargers and the New England Patriots, where he ended his NFL career in 2005.
He is currently a college football analyst for ABC and ESPN.
