$200 scholarship for string instruments to the Spencer Brook Music Festival, Aug. 17-22, 2009 (full tuition amount is $395)
Since 1986 the Spencer Brook Music Festival in Concord, MA, has offered music students a fantastic week of making music in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. Participants—elementary through high school age—play in small chamber music groups and also in orchestra, practice in technique workshops, get individual coaching, and enjoy student and faculty performances. After lunch there is recreation—soccer, Frisbee, and informal chamber music and coaching until 2:15.
Festival Director Paul Leder leads a faculty of dynamic musicians, noted internationally for their excellence as performers and teachers.
