You are bidding on an incredible Houston Astros ticket with batting practice experience. This auction item allows the winning bidder and 3 guests to watch batting practice on-field at an Astros home game during the 2009 regular season. The experience also includes four (4) game tickets to the game.
MLB Umpires wish to thank the Houston Astros for supporting the UMPS CARE Charities ticket program during the baseball season.
UMPS CARE Charities, the non-profit organization formed and supported by all 68 Major League Baseball umpires, hosts a monthly online auction. Auction proceeds help MLB Umpires host Build-A-Bear Workshop experiences for children with serious illness and baseball game experiences for children in foster care awaiting adoption. Items won are in "as-is" condition. Due to the unique nature of each item, all sales are final. It is up to the discretion of UMPS CARE Charities whether or not a return request will be accepted.
- Winning bidder will receive certificate to make arrangements with the Astros Community Affairs department. See a copy of the certificate in the image above.
- Opportunity excludes Opening Day, Blackout Dates, and Post Season games; all dates subject to availability.
- Certificate may be redeemed beginning March 1, 2009 and expires August 31, 2009. Redeemable for the 2009 season only.
- No exchanges, once a date has been selected the batting practice visits cannot be changed.
- To have the full support of the Astros, we ask that winning bidder and guests wear Houston Astros gear or clothing that does not support any out-of-town college or professional sports team.
- Winning certificate will be mailed to you within 10 days of auction close.
