Our GAtv studio is in desparate need of new editing equipment. For the past two years, we have been re-using computer lab computers to do the editing and they are starting to show their age. Editing has become very difficult.
Once we have a stable editing environment, we would like to start having students edit their own projects for GAtv. Right now, the editing software is too unstable and we fear that student work will be lost, so students have been primarily involved as announcers and on-camera anchors. Parent volunteers and staff have been doing what we can with the limited-use editing software and hardware that we have, though many hours have been lost in system and software crashes.
