Item Description
Pediatric Otolaryngology: Spend a day shadowing Dr. Steven Sobol, Director of Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Emory Children’s Center. Dr. Sobol joined the faculty of the Emory University School of Medicine in 2004 and treats disorders of the ear, nose and throat in pediatric patients. His clinical and research interests include endoscopic sinus surgery, cochlear implants, bronchoscopy, cystic fibrosis and tracheal surgery. On a typical clinic day, Dr. Sobol sees patients with several different problems related to the ear, nose or throat. Combining the skills of a pediatrician with the specialized knowledge of a head and neck surgeon, Dr. Sobol continues to advance scientific knowledge to promote the health of children.
Special Instructions
For students 9th grade and up. Participants will be required to sign a waiver and patient confidentiality agreement. Date to be mutually arranged between donor and participant.
