This picturesque hide-away is in Wine Harbour, Nova Scotia.  About 130 miles up the Atlantic coast from Halifax and not far from Cape Breton. Historic Sherbrooke Village is just nine miles away.

In this picture – taken from your deck – you can see the 150 year-old farmhouse (unoccupied), which is part of the property.  The Atlantic Ocean is just beyond.  (Click on “View image” to see a larger picture.)

Could you stand looking at this for a week?

You will be staying in a new, fully-heated 2-bedroom, 1 1/2-bath cottage.  The large living/dining room has a cathedral ceiling and a wood burning stove.  The modern kitchen offers a cooking island, where two people can sit.  One bedroom has a double bed; the other has two twin beds.

This intimate haven is nine miles off the highway, including three miles of unpaved road.  Historic Sherbrooke Village is the largest museum in Nova Scotia.  With its 80 buildings (25 open to the public), it depicts Nova Scotian village life from 1860 to pre-World War I.
