"I just wanted to do my part too, however small it may be, to contribute to the awareness of the Fight Back Express," said Chrstopher, "and the mission that it represents - fight cancer through advocacy within the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network."

About the artist - Christopher Roller

Christopher Roller, a Las Vegas resident, is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana. Christopher graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Indiana University, Herron School of Art. Christopher also has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Purdue University.  He is an oil painter and photographer who sometimes combines both mediums in his works.  Christopher was awarded the Bratton Scholarship Award his junior year at Herron for excellence as a photography major, and has been awarded on several occasions for works submitted to shows and publications.  He continues to create, sell and donate his artwork.  His work can be seen at http://www.chrisrollerart.com/

This work was created to visually represent Nevada, and more specifically Las Vegas.  As the "Fight Back Express" goes through our state, the scenery will be dominated by the bare desert and mountain landscape that residents of our state are very familiar with.  On the sides of the bus we can see the sign that welcomes visitors to Las Vegas, except Las Vegas has been replaced with "Fight Back Express".
