Washington's interpretation of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network's Fight Back Express, created by Freeda Lapos Babson.
Babson is involved in this project because, "As a cancer survivor, I am one of the lucky ones," she said, "I am always happy to use my artistic talents to help find a cure for this horrid disease."
Babson truely belives, "Bus + Time/Talent/Supplies/Creativity = Art + Auction + Generous Bidders = $$$ = Funding toward a cure!"

About the artist - Freeda Lapos Babson
For public works of art, most recently, Freeda was commissioned in 2006 to paint one the Mukilteo's lighthouses for their 100 Years of Light project , in 2007 to paint two of Pike Place Markets "Pigs on Parade" and the Seattle Downtown Association's Nutcracker. She was part of the "Red Door" project for Gilda's Club Seattle, and that Red Door is now at the Ronald McDonald House by Children's Hospital. Her work has been featured a number of times on Channel 5's "Evening Magazine" program. She was also filmed by KOMO TV's "Northwest Afternoon" while working on a mural in 2005.
Freeda continues to paint - at present she donated her time and talent to the Cancer Action Network, Seattle branch on a special bus representing Western Washington that will be auctioned in August 2008.
