Item Description
This unique, one of a kind chess set has been crafted by over 40 students and staff members at Avalon. It sits on a wooden playing board/box and is made of white clay fired with pottery glazes for added durability. The process, which took over two months to complete and hundreds of hours of work, represents true Avalonian spirit and commitment. In addition to the 32 chess pieces, there are 24 checker pieces and a beautiful hand crafted wooden box for storage. Truly a treasure that with time will acquire even greater value. Many thanks to Liliana Shirvanian for putting this beautiful piece of artwork together.
