Get-A-Ways
A Day in the San Francisco Bay Sailing
Item Information
Estimated Value $1,000.00
Item Number 171
Item Description
Imagine the wind whooshing through your hair, the sun shining down on you as you and the City by the Bay glittering on the shoreline.
San Francisco is often described as one of the most beautiful places in the world for sailing. This auction item is an incredible opportunity to sail with an experienced and local sailor with a 2004 Tartan 4100 fully equiped for Bay and offshore sailing.
The boat is berthed in the island town of Alameda, just across the Alameda-Oakland Estuary from Oakland's Jack London Square. You are bidding on an afternoon sail on the Bay for up to 5 adults, from noon to six on a weekend day of your choice (or even during the week, with enough notice). Whether you wish to bring a lunch (there is a refrigerator aboard) or stop ashore in Sausalito, Tiburon or Angel Island is up to you.
If you know someone who can arrange for a sailing excursion such as this, you will pay $750 to $1,000. However, in this auction, we're starting the bidding at $333.
