ARTISTS' STATEMENT
Images of rain, rain, rain filled our imaginations after we received the cedar salmon shape. First we experimented with various glues, epoxies, beads and crystals to see what best conveyed the look of rain, then we settled on a painted Northwest landscape as the background, ringed by the color of life - red.
The raindrops have eyes, just like fertile salmon eggs.
Salmon eyes see us.
Now they are everywhere.
