Item Description
The 2001 growing season was long and warm - the perfect combinations for a stellar vintage. 2001 was more of a "Cabernet Sauvignon" vintage than a "Merlot", which is reflected in thie year's blend. There are huge forward fruit flavors of black cherry and cassis from the Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of respberry from the Merlot, tabacco and cedar from the Cabernet Franc and the Malbec adds a ruby richness to pull it all together. With firm tannins, this wine lingers on the palate and finishes beautifully.
