Tory has been Drawing, Pastels and Painting all her life. Torys words: "For me abstracts explore, use and tie together the compositional challenges and emotional expression that are inherent in both 2D representational painting and in 3D sculpture, practical design and building experiences.
It's as if the painting finally takes on a personality of its own - some are thoughtful, some joyful and full of energy.
I try to combine strong colors and gestures with subtle textures and colors so that both are strong without detracting from each other.
Painting energizes me. I hope it may do the same for those who view my work.
