Bio: SHOUKOH KOBAYASHI is a studio artists and lecturer on textile dyeing at Kyoto Seika University. His distinctive style and powerful abstract work comes from more than 30 years of work with the medium. He has won multiple awards in exhibitions in Japan and exhibited abroad in the Lausanne Biennial, Switzerland, in Germany, France, Poland and Denmark. His work is in numerous collections including Kyoto Prefecture Museum, the Central Museum of Textiles, Lodz, Poland and UNESCO, Paris, France.
