The past comes to life at Old World Wisconsin, an outdoor museum of living history that includes 67 original buildings constructed by 19th century immigrants. These structures are arranged and furnished to interpret the lifestyles and traditions of people from many countries who came to Wisconsin to build new lives in an adopted homeland. Staff members dressed in period costumes carry out the daily chores and activities of the time, sharing stories rich in history with themes and applications that still resonate today.
