The Center for Health, Environment and Justice (CHEJ) is a grassroots organization which exists to prevent the types of health harms caused by chemical or toxic threats in your community and home. CHEJ gains its victories by mentoring a movement and empowering people to understand how to do fight for themselves -- just like CHEJ's founders did when they fought to prevent any further harm from coming to the community at Love Canal, New York more than thirty years ago. To date, CHEJ has assisted or mentored more than 10,000 groups nationwide.
