Auction to Close on Thursday, November 19th!

The Tri-Valley YMCA's Youth & Government Auction is in its final days!  The auction will close at 5p.m. (PST) on November 19, 2009.  All proceeds will go to support our local Youth & Government delegation! 

The Youth and Government's Model Legislature and Court Program is a statewide youth educational program involving more than 2,300 high school freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors in a nine month "hands on" experience. Since its inception, the program has used a variety of activities to build, encourage, and strengthen those life assets and character traits that will help high school youth become involved responsible adults who are decent and respected citizens. The tool used is a high quality experiential and educational simulation based upon California's state government. The program is very comprehensive, and its impact on the youth participants is dramatic. The core purpose of this highly regarded program is exemplified in the motto "Democracy Must Be Learned By Each Generation."

Our Tri-Valley YMCA delegation needs to raise $7500 for our participation in this statewide conference in February.  We hope you will support our efforts by bidding at our auction!  There are lots of great auction items and more items are being added daily so be sure to keep checking back.
