The Moth Ball Online Auction 2009 is now open! Bidding will close at 11.59pm on November 18, 2009, the evening after our annual benefit, The Moth Ball. All proceeds from the auction will support The Moth's work promoting storytelling, including our famed Mainstage shows, open-mic StorySLAM evenings, free podcast, public radio show, and our storytelling workshops offered, free of charge, to underserved teens and marginalized adults.
This year's Moth Ball, co-hosted by Garrison Keillor and Jonathan Ames, will light up the elegant Capitale in New York City on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. The evening will include a VIP cocktail party, dinner, dancing, silent auction and an unforgettable storytelling show. The Moth award, designed by Jonathan Adler, will be presented to Anna Deavere Smith, with the MothSHOP program and scholarship introduced by Lorraine Bracco and Richard Belzer.
