The Salem Mission has been meeting the needs of homeless and hungry people and the Salem Community for over 20 years via four programs: Shelter, Community Meals, Food Pantry, and Community Day Services. In addition to shelter and meals, assistance is provided in areas such as health care, mental health and substance abuse. The Mission also supports community outreach and street advocacy. In 2005 we opened the "Second Chance Thrift Store" which sells clothing, household items and furniture. 100% of the proceeds go to fund the Mission and its programs and services.
The online portion of Spring for Hope is now open. The auction will run from March 31, 2007 amd close at midnight April 27, 2007, with the live Spring Gala and Auction event taking place on April 28, 2007 at Salem's Old Town Hall, Townhouse Square from 7:00-11:00 PM. Kick-off the Spring for Hope celebration with cocktails, silent auction from 7-8, buffet and Live Auction 8-9:00 and Dancing and Dessert on the upper level from 8:30-11:00 PM.
Auction items range from exotic vacation getaways to donated items guaranteed to delight and surprise. So, tell your friends, family, community. The countdown has begun, let the bidding begin!
Proceeds will go to The Salem Mission to support our Annual Operating Fund.
