It is the long range mission of the Boy Scouts of America to serve others by helping to instill values in young people and in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choices over their lifetime in achieving their full potential.

The Mid-Year Online Auction is now open. The auction will run from July 29, 2009 to December 31, 2009, with proceeds going to the San Francisco Bay Area Council, BSA in order to support families in Oakland and San Francisco with stemming the current tide of youth violence through the implementation of character education programs. Auction items range from exotic vacation getaways to donated items guaranteed to delight and surprise. So, tell your friends, family, community. Let the bidding begin!
