Right Turn is a mental health and substance abuse treatment program that specializing in creative solutions for artists in recovery. This non-profit treatment program was founded by Woody Giessmann (drummer for the Del Fuegos) in 2003 and is located in Arlington, Massachusetts. Since then Woody and the team at Right Turn have been cultivating a vision of providing innovative programming, individual support, rehabilitation services and ongoing encouragement to artists and entertainers (and their families) who have been affected by alcoholism, addiction, and psychiatric issues.

Since opening, our Boston-area clinic has experienced tremendous growth – with the number of clients more then tripling in four short years. Our unique and crucial services have become in high demand – both locally and nationally; therefore, in 2008 we stand on the verge of national expansion. In the next few months we are planning a number of fundraising benefits with the goal of raising enough money to open a satellite office on Martha’s Vineyard and a full clinic in Nashville by the end of this year.  Our five year business plan includes expanding Right Turn to other artistic communities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Austin.
