The Dearborn Women's Expo is running an online auction fundraiser.

Starting on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 8 a.m. ET, the Dearborn Women's Expo is auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise funds in support of the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan Walk. We will close the auction at 10 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 26, 2009.

The whole Sullivan family will be walking this year - Julie, Janeen Jim, Kellie Rae and Jameson. We call ourselves "TEAM BRITTANY". The walk will be on May 30, 2009 at Kensington Metro Park.

CLF is the charity of focus for The Dearborn Women's Expo. Our Brittany was so very special. She was kind, loving and compassionate. She had her fun side, too! She loved her Red Wings and was often in Joe Louis to cheer them on! GO WINGS! About to enter her junior year of high school, Brit was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). She was 16 and something like this was not supposed to happen. You hear about it happening but never in a million years would you even think it could hit your family. Well, even during her weeks of chemo and "bad days", Brittany took it in stride. She never felt sorry for herself and would always greet everyone with a smile - a smile that could light up a room. Brittany was only with us for about 15 weeks after her diagnosis. We miss her so much, but feel her spirit with us each and every day. She is our daughter, sister, niece, grand-daughter, and friend.

Auction items range from exotic vacation getaways to donated items guaranteed to delight and surprise.  So, tell your friends, family, community. Let the bidding begin!

Auction Tip: When you place a bid, you have an option to submit a maximum bid. The system will bid for you in increments until your maximum bid is reached. If you get outbid at your maximum amount, you will receive an e-mail to let you know so you can stay in the action!!
