Casting for Recovery, founded in 1996, is a national non-profit support and educational program for women who have or have had breast cancer. We offer retreat programs nationwide, provided at no cost to the participants, that combine counseling, medical information, and fly-fishing and that are suitable to women at any age or any stage of treatment and recovery from breast cancer. In 2009 we will be offering 42 retreats in 27 states, thanks to support from many generous individuals, organizations, and companies, including our national sponsors.
Casting for Recovery's "To Fish Is To Hope" auction is now open. The auction will run until July 31 2009, with proceeds going to Casting for Recovery to help us help women recovering from breast cancer through a program that combines fly-fishing, counseling, and medical information in a retreat setting. Auction items range from fishing trips to Alaska to donated items guaranteed to delight and surprise. So, tell your friends, family, community. Let the bidding begin!
