The online portion of the 2009 Beacon of Hope fund-raiser is now open. The auction will run from Wednesday April 22nd - Thursday April 30th, with the Dinner/Presentation taking place on Friday May 1, 2009 at the Knights of Columbus in Defiance. Proceeds go to the Defiance area Inpatient Hospice Center. Auction items range from exotic vacation getaways to donated items guaranteed to delight and surprise. What is the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center?
When a life-limiting illness is no longer manageable at home or an able caregiver is not available, CHP's Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance provide a compassionate alternative. This free-standing residential facilities allows patients to remain in a homelike setting.

Beacon Of Hope Fundraiser for Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center - May 1, 2009...Tickets still available!!!!
Beacon of Hope is Community Health Professionals' annual fundraising event for hospice. These events are hosted by each CHP location throughout the year.
The Beacon of Hope brings our communities together for a time of remembrance, celebration and fun; while raising needed funds to provide hospice services to those in need. We use a lighthouse as a symbol of the "beacon of hope" that hospice provides to families with loved ones facing the end-of-life.
Each year, a local family who has been served by CHP's hospice program is chosen to present a lighthouse to honor all who have been served by Community Health Professionals' Visiting Nurses and Hospice programs. The lighthouses are displayed at each of our locations.
Beacon of Hope events also include a dinner and charity auction. You can support hospice by donating items to the auction, attending the dinner, or making a monetary donation. For your convenience donations may be charged to your VISA or MasterCard. For more information, contact your nearest CHP office or donate online by clicking here.
Tickets are still available for the May 1, 2009 dinner/auction. Please call 419-782-4131. Held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Defiance, the doors open at 5:30 and dinner begins at 6:00. The ailent auction runs all evening with the LIVE auction begining at 7:00.
