KACF and their Grantees

OUR MISSION / VISION

As one of the fastest-growing segments of the U.S. population, Korean Americans represents a dynamic community, which as a whole has achieved signifi cant economic success. However, this is only part of the Korean immigrant story as there are many Korean Americans facing social and economic challenges, particularly among the elderly, disadvantaged youth, physically and mentally challenged, and low-income immigrant families.

The Korean American Community Foundation (KACF) is a 501(c)3 non-profi t organization that provides financial grants to social service agencies dedicated to under-served segments of the Korean American community and beyond. KACF seeks to raise awareness of social service needs and issues, provide opportunities for charitable involvement and help cultivate a culture of giving.

Our vision is a vibrant Korean American community engaged in strengthening our society through philanthropy, volunteerism, and compassionate leadership.

KACF 2008 Annual Gala will help Korean American Community Foundation raise funds to support their current grantees and initiatives that include the following social service organizations:

American Cancer Society
■ American Wheat Mission in New Jersey
■ Asian Americans for Equality
■ Asian Women's Christian Association
■ Coalition of Asian Children and Families
