More than half of our annual income depends on button sales, so bad weather can devastate our reserve funds and jeopardize future events. It's hard to imagine New Year’s Eve in Charlottesville without First Night, but that reality is indeed possible. To secure the future, our board and advisors have created a "Snowy Day Fund." Your participation will help to make this year's event the best it can be, and also sustain a celebration that has been integral to the life of our community for 27 years.
The First Night Virginia 2008-09 Online Auction runs from November 28, 2008 to December 19, 2008. Proceeds go to First Night Virginia's "Snowy Day Fund." Auction items range from exotic vacation getaways to donated items guaranteed to delight and surprise. So, tell your friends, family, community. Let the bidding begin!
