Thank you for helping us provide the families of San Francisco with a real alternative to costly private schools.
Creative Arts Charter School has been providing families of San Francisco with a free/public arts-integrated, project-based education for over 13 years. As San Francisco's 1st public charter school, we have been providing an educational choice to families that did not exist prior to 1994. In a city where private school enrollment is two and a half times greater than the state average, CACS is attracting students who otherwise would not have enrolled in the public schools of San Francisco.
Developing the high quality program that we offer today has been a constant challenge, in light of how poorly California Public Schools are funded. Despite these challenges, we are enjoying the most successful year of our 13-year history. By virtually every measure of a school's success, we have met, if not exceeded prescribed goals and expectations, including: achieving the highest score possible (10) for 2005 Similar Schools Ranking; raising student achievement to the highest level for any charter school in San Francisco (CACS is now San Francisco's highest performing charter school, as measured by the Academic Performance Index API); and restructuring the school arts program and hiring full-time arts staff.
Our success as an innovative, arts-focused charter school could not have happened without our supporters. Our school's arts programs are dependent on fundraising and we are committed to raising $75,000 annually to support our arts programs.
While you're here, look through our catalog and place your bids.
