About Boomerangs
Boomerangs is a unique consumer retail store that provides a vital revenue stream for the AIDS Action Committee. And now, with Boomerangs online, we're taking the fun Boomerangs shopping experience to a whole new group of shoppers. Boomerangs opened in 1996 to much acclaim and was named "Best Resale Store" by Boston Magazine that year. This year, Boomerangs was voted Best Thrift Shop by the readers of the Boston Phoenix. Boomerangs has also become another creative way for AIDS Action Committee to services its clients by providing them with vouchers to the stores throughout the year. We are very excited to be offering several pieces of original art featured in this year's ARTcetera auction.
Plus, we very excited to offer the original artwork used for this year's holiday cards, designed and generously donated by renowned children's book author and illustrator, Tomie dePaola. These five original works of holiday themed art commemorating AIDS Action's work fighting HIV/AIDS would make the perfect gift! In addition, to the original art, we have once again assembled an eclectic collection of antiques, collectible jewelry and gift items, all of which were donated to Boomerangs.

About AIDS Action Committee
Founded in 1983, AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts is a not-for-profit, community-based health organization whose mission is to stop the HIV/AIDS epidemic by preventing new infections and optimizing the health of those already infected. Through a cooperative and mutually supportive effort between over 70 staff and hundreds of volunteers, AIDS Action seeks to assist and constructively work with people of all cultures by providing services, education, advocacy and prevention.
AIDS Action provides free, confidential services to 2,500 men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS.
